Caerleon is part of the new City of Newport in South East Wales, between Cardiff and Bristol
The town is close to the M4 motorway – exit at Junction 24 or Junction 25 if travelling west; exit at Junction 26 if travelling east from Cardiff. (Just follow the brown Roman helmet signs).
Nearest rail station: Newport, served by trains between Cardiff and London, the Midlands, North West, South and South West. Caerleon is 6km by bus from Newport.
There is a tourist information bureau in Caerleon High Street, near the Roman Legionary Museum
